Hopes Held Too High?

Do you ever get your hopes up for something and then turn out to be disappointed? I think each of us has at some point. Many of us, as a result of this, decide to lower our expectations and not hope for the best. We think that we will save ourselves pain this way.

I think it is important to not lose our hopes or downplay our expectations, but instead of keeping them a secret that only we know we should let them be known. Share with your spouse, or whoever, what it is that you are hoping for and see if that could be a reality. This way you won’t be downplaying your true desires, but you won’t find yourself disappointed every time either.

In Christ’s Love,
