It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick, I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners. Mark 2:17
Wherever you are right now, have a look around you. Are there people nearby that you have regular contact with? Or, are there names of people showing in the form of email, business cards, phone numbers, etc that you have regular contact with?
Can you identify with these people in some way? Perhaps you have something in common – a job, children who misbehave or have challenges at school, too much weight, an interest in sports or a hobby, financial challenges.
Are you able to communicate with these people without using Christianese or do you speak a different language to them?
Do your non-Christian friends and contacts know you are different to them? And if so, do they know why?
Finally, do they want want you have? How do you know?
Jesus spent his time amongst the people, walking, talking and teaching. He lived in their regions, ate of their food, slept at their houses, talked their language and yet they knew he was different to them. They knew he had something they wanted. He had impact on contact with each and every person during his time here on earth. Do you?
