Remember the woman with the issue of blood? She had suffered twelve years. She went to doctors and only grew worse.
Have you ever been in this state? You were sick. You went to the doctors, and every thing they tried made you worse. You spent all your money and yet you didn’t feel any better. I have.
After she touched the garment of Jesus, He told her “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering” (Mark 5:34 NIV).
Why did Jesus tell her to go in peace? The peace that Jesus is referring to here is not peace as we know it.
This peace means completeness, wholeness, healing. As long as she was sick, she could not know the peace of Jesus. The peace that keeps us in perpetual health.
What did Jesus tell His disciples soon before His death?
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27 NIV).
Peace. He left them His completeness, His wholeness, His healing. He left them His Peace. He bequeath it upon them, which means He left it to them…and to us…as an inheritance.
We have that Peace once we are Born-again Believers, but one of two things happens. We don’t know that it is ours, or we know it is ours but don’t know how to tap into it. The Peace comes from the Holy Spirit within us! We have access to that Peace twenty-four/seven.
How do we tap into it? We do our part of the Scripture. We let not our hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. We remove the care.
When we tap into the Peace of the Holy Spirit inside us, we allow God to come in and take care of our problems. We must hold our peace and let the Lord fight our battles. As we do, we receive our miracle.
Even though a river is blocked, it still flows. However the jam causes the water not to flow as well to certain areas. The river is still flowing, only something blocked those areas from receiving the maximum of water.
God’s blessings are flowing to us all the time just like the river. When we worry, we block the flow, and we don’t receive as much as God had intended, as much as is available to us.
When we stay in peace and let the Lord fight our battles, we will receive all that God has for us.
