Free From Confusion

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ – Galatians 1:6-7 (NIV).

We have to be careful not to be like the people of Galatia, who deserted the One who called us by the grace of Christ.  Every thing that sounds right is not necessarily right.

When we are presented with a gospel that sounds right but does not feature Christ as the center of it, we must reject it.  The true Gospel centers around what Jesus did for us.  It doesn’t hinge on what we do for ourselves.

In order to be free of confusion, we need to compare every thing we read, hear and see with the Word of God.  When we do that, we will never be led astray.
