Don’t Ever Give Up

Sometimes it is so easy to let life beat us up … we have a bad day and then it turns into a bad week and then a bad month and then a bad year.  But we don’t have to allow it to continue and we surely don’t have to allow it to turn into a bad life.  Jesus gave us this promise when he was preaching to the people what is now called The Sermon On The Mount.

“Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for.  Keep on looking, and you will find.  Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened.  For everyone who asks, receives.  Everyone who seeks, finds.  And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.  You parents–if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead?  Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not!   If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.  Do for others what you would like them to do for you.  This is a summary of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”

     Matthew 7:7-12  (NLT)

I don’t know about you, but those words give me so much encouragementment.  So, regardless of how today went … keep on asking– He promises us that if we ask, we will receive.  Now, you will notice He doesn’t say when.

Hang in there!  God always keeps His promise!

Father, Thank You for these words of encouragement.  Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of life.  Help me Lord to keep my focus on Your truth.

I Love You Jesus.

     In Your Name I Pray,

     Amen

God Bless You,

Joyce
