Can’t Resist Spirit’s Wisdom

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke. Acts 6:10 NKJV

I love this verse.  When we are yielded to the Holy Spirit and willing to speak what He urges us to speak, whoever is listening will not be able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which we speak.  Remember God’s Word is Life and is Spirit.  It has a purpose that only God knows.  When His Word goes out, it doesn’t return void but carries out the very purpose that God intended (Isaiah 55:11).  This should bring great confidence, if you ever found yourself a little unsure of whether to say something or not.  If you know you’re following the Spirit’s leading, then speak!  The purpose for which it is given will come to pass. Also remember, it’s not you or me that converts or saves anyone.  It’s only the power of the Holy Spirit.  His job is to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment to come (John 16:8).  Zechariah 4:6 says “Not by might not by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.”  Jesus told us we would have power when the Holy Spirit came upon us, so we could be His witnesses (Acts 1:8).  Everything that God intends is carried out by His Spirit.  If it doesn’t come from His Spirit, it’s not of God (Romans 8:13).  Romans 15:13 says “Now may the God of hope full you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

In Christ’s Love,
